Bachelor of Science/Mechanical Engineering (LeTourneau University)

After many years of design work in the manufacturing industry, Martin began trucking in 1974. In 1978, he and wife Phoebe purchased a small regional Texas carrier which grew into Specialized Transport Service. He has always done his own engineering of special devices and load supports for many of our unique load configurations. Martin also takes pride, and derives satisfaction from being involved in the specking of hauling equipment purchased for STS. All said and done, He “works it like a job… enjoys it like a hobby.” Martin’s legacy will include his commitment to customer service, honesty in his dealings, fairness & dignity to both customers and employees.

Phoebe Hendrix – Vice-President

Darrell Hendrix – V.P. Operations

B.B.A./Business Management (Baylor University)

Associates Degree/Mechanical Engineering (Texas State Technical College)

Darrell has been around the business since he was 8 years old. After High School, he attended college knowing that ultimately he wanted to be in the heavy haul industry. While in college, he worked part time for a freight company but he still missed being around the challenge of moving big loads.

After College, he went to work for his Dad full time and officially began his career in the heavy haul business. Three months after college, he opened up a second branch of the company moving from the San Antonio area to Dallas.

Jarrod Mueller

Routing and Permitting Specialist

Jarrod Mueller is a Routing and Permit Specialist who obtains proper routing and permits for the safe movement of oversized and overweight transportation.

In 1997 Jarrod began his career in the heavy haul industry as a dispatcher. In 2006 He became certified by the State of Texas as a Routing and Permit Specialist. Jarrod’s knowledge of the highway system and up to date restrictions has made him become well respected by both Local and State authorities across the United States.

You can expect professionalism without any nasty surprises when working with Jarrod Mueller.

Jarrod loves NASCAR, Family and Friends, oh and NASCAR.

 

Bryan Kellner, CFPS

Safety/DOT Compliance Manager

Bryan brings over 20 years of experience in risk management, safety and insurance at STS.   His office responsibilities include overall corporate business operations, DOT and FMCSA regulatory compliance, insurance and safety.  His leadership and experience directly contribute to the success of our company.

Gary Hass

Inside Sales

Gary has been in the Heavy Haul business since 1991.  His has experience with all types of trailers including Hydraulic Platform Trailers.  He fills many roles at STS, from answering the phone and doing quotes to driving the truck.  He is a great asset to STS.

Crystal Knox

Office Manager/Bookkeeping

Crystal Knox is the Office Manager for the Dallas location with 30 years of experience in Administration, Accounting and Customer Service

Tabby McHardy

Corporate Accounting Analyst

Tabby specializes in corporate accounting and administrative workflow.  Her office supports daily business operations in our accounting department.  Her professionalism, technical expertise and positive attitude contribute to the success here at STS.

Justin Fonner

Mechanical Engineering Bachelors of Science – Texas Tech University

Justin started with STS in March of 2018. He currently does anything and everything from escorting loads to engineering and designing specialty parts and components for the company.
